Coming to Bay Days: Free and Open to the Public

Voted Best Waterside Event in the Best of the Bay Competition! Visitors enjoy dazzling fireworks Saturday night and free performances by regional recording artists on three outdoor stages all weekend long.

This year, the festival will take place September 6-8, 2013. About 200,000 people are expected to attend the 31th anniversary celebration in downtown Hampton. Activities include live musical entertainment, over 100 merchandise and craft vendors, a 30-minute fireworks display, bay education area, and more.

 

The Hampton Bay Days schedule for is as follows:
Friday - Noon - 11:00 p.m.
Saturday - 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Sunday - Noon - 6:00 p.m.

 

Hampton Bay Days is handicapped accessible. There are handicap portable restrooms and hand washing stations available. Lawn chairs welcome. Only service animals, no pets, are allowed at the festival. No coolers, glass containers, bikes, skateboards, personal golf carts and miniature motorizes vehicles (excludes motorized wheelchairs and other handicap devices). Hampton Bay Days is handicapped accessible. There are handicap portable restrooms and hand washing stations available.

Directions

From Richmond/Williamsburg:

Travel Interstate 64 East to LaSalle Ave. exit. Turn left at the third traffic light onto Settlers Landing Road and follow into the festival area.

From Southside Hampton Roads:

Via the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel - Travel Interstate 64 West to the Downtown Hampton/Woodland Road/Hampton University exit (Exit 267). Turn left at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp onto Settlers Landing Road. Follow across bridge into the festival area.

Via the Monitor Merrimac Tunnel - Travel Interstate 664 North to Powhatan Pkwy exit. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Powhatan Pkwy. Continue to first the traffic light and turn left onto Pembroke Ave. Follow to Settlers Landing Road intersection and turn right to continue into the festival area.

Parking

Lots of nearby festival parking: Follow Signs to Parking areas - Parking is $5.00, and a portion of all parking proceeds benefit local charities.
